Check-Ins

Check-in time is 3:00 pm. Please contact us if you need to arrive prior to 3pm and we’ll make every effort to have your room ready early. Our guests are welcome to park their vehicle at the property anytime after noon on their check-in day and take a ride service such as Uber or Lyft to the wineries prior to checking in.

Express Registration and Self Check-Ins

At our inn we offer Express Registration and Self Check-In. An Express Registration link will be texted to you the morning of your check-in. Once you complete the registration, Self check-in Instructions will be emailed to you. We request that guests make us aware of arrival times in advance so the check-in process can go as smoothly as possible for you. We are happy to accommodate your request for an in-person check-in.

Check-Outs

Check-out time is by 11:00 am. We cannot accommodate late check-outs and appreciate your attention to this so our limited staff has adequate time to prepare your room for future guests.

Rates & Occupancy

  • Two-night minimum stay required on weekends and holidays.
  • Rates are subject to a 10% Riverside County Lodging Tax plus a 2% Temecula Wine Country Tourism Assessment.
  • Each room must have a guest 25 years of age or above.
  • Maximum occupancy for our rooms is 2 adults. Additional twin beds are available for a fee of $65 per stay.
  • Only registered guests are permitted at the inn. Please contact us directly if you would like to invite visitors to join you in the common areas.
  • Rates include: An enhanced continental breakfast available any time of day and access to all inn amenities.

Deposit

  • A 50% deposit payment is required to confirm your booking. Balance will be due 7 days before your check-in date. Note that the balance is automatically collected. Please notify us before that date if you prefer to use a different credit card than the one on file.
  • If booking your reservation less than 7 days before your arrival, the entire reservation amount will be charged to your credit card and will be non-refundable.
  • Your reservation is not confirmed until your deposit has been successfully processed. An automatic confirmation will be sent by our reservation system to the email you provide.

Payments

  • All major credit cards are accepted.
  • Any incidentals incurred during your stay (minibar items, wine purchases and extras) will be charged to your card on file.

Children and Pets

  • For the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, Villa Inn/Gaia Inn & Spa caters to adults age 18 and older. As many of our guests are looking for a quiet getaway, the property is not appropriate for children. Please note that we will be unable to honor your booking if you arrive with any extra person or child.
  • To protect the serenity of our guests, we are a no-pets property. Service dogs that have been specially trained to provide assistance to a guest living with a disability are permitted in any room on the property. Any other type of support animal, emotional or otherwise, is not permitted which is consistent with the laws in California allowing a person with a disability to bring a trained service dog or psychiatric service dog to all public places but not emotional support animals.

Housekeeping

Our goal is for each guest to walk into our rooms and think “this place is spotless!” So, we thoroughly clean each room between every stay: surfaces are disinfected, bathrooms are scrubbed, linens laundered, and fresh towels and duvet covers are applied. In order to best manage our resources, it is not our practice to refresh rooms each day during your stay but we are more than happy to get you anything you need while you’re here.

Smoking and Vaping

For the comfort and safety of all guests, we do not allow tobacco use of any kind in the guests rooms and throughout most of the property; this includes the use of e-cigarettes and vaping. The inn has a designated smoking area guests are required to use when smoking or vaping. Guests who do not comply with this policy will incur a fee of $250 and may be asked to leave without a refund.

Important Tidbits

  • Breakfast is provided with your stay each morning, but we do not serve any additional food items. We are within a 5 to 10 minute drive to all the local wineries that serve food for lunch and dinner. Many of our guests use the apps Grubhub, UberEats, or DoorDash for food delivery to the inn.
  • Burning of candles is not permitted due to the fire danger.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason, including but not limited to: exceeding maximum occupancy limits, excessive noise and disrespectful or reckless behavior.
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen personal items and valuables.
  • We offer free on-site parking at your own risk.
  • Tesla and EV charging is not available at our inn.
  • We cannot accommodate RVs or trailers.

Cancellation Policy

As a boutique, family-run inn, cancellations have a large impact on us. Cancellations at least 7 days prior to your first night’s stay will be refunded. Cancellations less than 7 days prior will not be refunded. Day-of cancellations, partial cancellations, or early departures will not be refunded. Online cancellations do not automatically initiate a refund. If a guest cancels a reservation online, the guest is responsible for calling our inn directly at 951-514-6159 to initiate the refund.

Travel Insurance

We realize that cancellations are often beyond your personal control. Although we understand situations arise making cancellations unavoidable, we do not take responsibility for changes to your reservation due to delayed arrivals, early departures, inclement weather, unforeseen changes to travel plans, medical or family emergencies (including Covid), work conflicts, missed or cancelled flights, pandemics, force majeure, etc. For this reason, we recommend purchasing travel insurance for peace of mind. Many companies cover 90 – 100% of your expenses should you need to cancel your reservation. We suggest you compare options at www.covertrip.com.

Block-Room Cancellations

  • A $50 per room processing fee is assessed on all cancelled reservations.
  • No additional penalty is assessed if you cancel your block of room reservations 30 days prior to your check-in date.
  • You will be charged the 50% deposit that was placed when you booked if you must cancel within 30 days of your check-in date.
  • You will be charged the full amount of your group reservation if you cancel within 7 days of your check-in date.

Damages

Guests assume responsibility for any damages incurred by them during their time on the property. Villa Inn/Gaia Inn & Spa, at its sole discretion, will charge for the cost to repair or replace any item(s) damaged, including linens, furniture, fixtures, structural and other materials on the property.

Forgotten Items

Items left behind at the inn can be sent to you via mail at your request. The cost of shipping plus a $5 handling and packaging fee (rounded to the next whole dollar) will be billed to your credit card. After three months, any unclaimed items will be donated.

Missing Items

If there are any items owned by Villa Inn/Gaia Inn & Spa that are missing from the guest rooms, the party to whom the room is rented will be charged the appropriate fee to replace such items unless they are returned in the same condition they were taken.

Parking

There are two off-street parking spaces available per room. No parking is allowed on the road due to local ordinances. Please let us know in advance if you will need parking for more than two vehicles or if your vehicle is larger than the norm.
